Louisiana Retina Center is an ophthalmology center dedicated to diseases of the retina and vitreous. We can assist you in the diagnosis and treatment of any retinal disorder.

The center is run by Robert Blem, MD, a fellowship trained retina surgeon and a board certified ophthalmologist.

Our office is a friendly atmosphere that uses state of the art equipment to provide patients with the best medical, surgical, and laser care of the retina and vitreous. Honor, ethics, and trust are the keystones of our practice.

The Macular Degeneration Center of Acadiana is a part of Louisiana Retina Center. It consists of Dr. Blem and a team of staff and associates who work together to provide treatment of Age Related Macular Degeneration. A coordinated team approach as well as the most advanced equipment available anywhere are utilized to accurately diagnose and treat the patient's condition. This doesn't stop at treatment. Other members of Dr. Blem's team assist with home health services for visual and other medical needs, patient and family education and counseling, and low vision services.
